Charcoal has been traditionally used for centuries for its drawing properties. It is a natural detoxifier that helps bind to oil, dirt and impurities to remove from the skin. Most suitable for oily and acne-prone skin. Found in our Charcoal and Yarrow Soap.

This herb is a traditional natural dye colourant for herbalists. The powder is obtained from the root of the plant and helps obtain a range of natural hues. Found in our Rose Hip Lip Balm and occasionally in seasonal soaps.

We use this herb as a natural colourant to obtain yellow and orange hues in soap. It contains Vitamins C, B’s, and E and antioxidants. Found in our Golden Breeze Soap, Chamomile Tallow Soap and Dandelion Soap.

This oil is good for all skin types. It is very rich and nourishing - particularly in vitamin A and vitamin E. Can visibly calm inflammatory conditions. Found in our Rejuvenate Face Serum and Raspberry Vanilla Lip Balm.

This oil contains a multitude of vitamins:  A, B1, B2, D, E, and Beta Carotene, all of which make this oil great for dry skin conditions. Found in our Wild Mint Lip Balm, Herb Garden Lotion and Charcoal and Yarrow Soap. 

With powerful antiviral, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, it protects skin from infection and irritation while sealing in moisture. Beeswax is also rich in vitamin A to support lasting hydration and skin healing at a cellular level. When possible, we use local beeswax produced on our land. This powerful skin-loving herb is grown in our garden and infused into oil to create many of our products for its antiseptic, antimicrobial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory uses. This steam-distilled rejuvenating oil is rich in antioxidants and phytonutrients like carotenoids, polyphenols and essential fatty acids. It helps reverse and prevent sun damage, reduce fine lines and promote a brighter, firmer complexion. Found in our Rejuvenate Face Serum

Derived from olive oil, this PEG-free natural emulsifier creates a creamy, smooth consistency while creating a more moisturized and balanced skin barrier in our lotions and creams. Ecocert and COSMOS approved. 

Stellaria media is a powerful wild herb that we harvest every summer to utilize its cooling and anti-inflammatory properties to help soothe skin. It is mucilaginous and a hydrating emollient that is excellent for skin conditions. Found in our Summer Stick. 

A natural preservative created by fermenting Coconut fruit, it is effective at preventing the growth of yeast and mold. Found in our Herb Garden Lotion.

High in fatty acids, coconut oil helps create a hard bar of soap that lathers and bubbles nicely. It helps keep the skin soft and smooth, and its natural anti-oxidants help to prevent the premature aging of the skin. Organic. Found in all of our soap bars. 

Symphytum officinale is grown in our garden and harvested to infuse into oil for its antiinflammatory uses and ability to help promote new skin cells. Found in our Prairie Gold Balm. 

We grow this herb in our garden and infuse into oil for it’s invigorating and stress-relieving aromatherapy benefits and soothing properties in skincare. Found in Dreamy Eucalyptus Body Butter and Energizing Eucalyptus Body Butter

Chamerion angustifolium is wildcrafted locally near the Red Deer River valley as it contains antiinflammatory properties to help reduce redness. Just as it helps bring life back to a forest after a fire; we feel it brings life back to our skin too. Found in our Rejuvenate Face Serum.

Steam distilled from resin, this ancient oil has been used for centuries for its ability to aid in skin cell regeneration and collagen production for more firm, youthful skin. Rich in anti-inflammatory and aromatherapy benefits, it helps to calm skin and ground the mind. Found in our Rejuvenate Face Serum, Restorative Face Cream, Prairie Gold Balm and Wild Rose Hip Soap.

A vegetable derived humectant and moisturizer which attracts and absorbs water molecules helping to draw and retain moisture to the skin. Found in our Refresh Face Toner, After Sun Body Spray and Herb Garden Lotion. 

We use fresh goat milk from a neighbouring farm, goat milk has many soothing benefits in skin care, including lots of vitamins, natural emollients and triglycerides to moisturize skin. Found in our Lavender Milk soap.

Solidago gigantea, is foraged near the Red Deer River valley in the fall and then dried and used for its antiinflammatory properties to soothe sensitive skin. Found in our Golden Breeze soap, Prairie Gold Balm and Golden Breeze Lotion.

Rooted in herbal medicine for centuries as a potent flower for skin health in the Mediterranean, helichrysum oil has properties that offer potent support for the natural regeneration and growth of skin cells. Helichrysum is frequently sought for its ability to encourage a youthful-looking appearance, maintaining smoothness, firmness, and suppleness. Found in our Restorative Face Cream.

Equisetum arvense, is foraged near the Red Deer River valley, this ancient plant has been around since the time of the dinosaurs! Known for its high silica content, horsetail has properties to promote heathy and strong hair, skin and nails. It can help strengthen the hair shaft, nourish the scalp and give the hair an overall healthy sheen. Found in our Rosemary Mint Shampoo and conditioner.

A fantastic moisturizer in skin care products, jojoba is more liquid wax than oil. Jojoba has high levels of Vitamin E. In hair care, jojoba is a wonderful oil as its molecular structure is very similar to the structure of the scalp’s natural sebum. Rich in fatty acids and minerals like selenium, it helps maintain skin function, elasticity and defends against environmental damage. Found in our Rosemary Mint Shampoo, Rosemary Mint Conditioner, Rejuvenate Face Serum, Restorative Face Cream, Raspberry Vanilla Lip Balm, Prairie Gold Balm, Herb Garden Lotion. 

Juniperus communis is foraged by us in the wild along the valleys of the Red Deer River for its astringent and antiseptic properties, along with its detoxifying scent. Found in our Forest Bath Soap, where it is crushed and provides an excellent exfoliant.

Kaolin clay has been used for centuries to cleanse, exfoliate, and rejuvenate the skin. Kaolin clay powder is made from the mineral kaolinite, which is found in many parts of the world. Found in Lavender Milk Soap, Saskatoon Lemon Pie Soap, Wild Rose Hip Soap, White Spruce Body Butter

A broad spectrum natural preservative that is derived from probiotics. It helps support skin's protective microbiome to help visibly soothe skin and boost its resilience. Found in Herb Garden Lotion, Refresh Face Toner, Restorative Face Cream

This aromatic purple flower is one of our favourites to grow in our garden. The scent is calming and stress relieving but also wonderful in skin care for its antibacterial, antifungal, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. Found in our Lavender Milk soap, Summer Stick, Herb Garden Lotion, and After Sun Body Spray.

Widely known for its ability to help heal skin conditions, lavender oil is capable of helping soothe and repair all skin types. It has antioxidants to protect against free radicals, antiiflammatory and soothing properties and is very gentle and calming to the scent as well. Found in our Rejuvenate Face Serum, Herb Garden Lotion, Prairie Gold Balm, Wild Rose Hip Soap, Wildflower Soap, Lavender Milk Soap, Charcoal and Yarrow Soap, and Dreamy Eucalyptus Body Butter. 

This is a natural colourant from the root of the maddar plant. It helps create red-ish hues in soap. 

This oil is vitamin rich, high in antioxidants and is gentle for all skin types. We prefer to use extra-virgin olive oil. Found in Summer Stick, Renew Oil Cleanser, Rejuvenate Face Serum and most of our soap bars. 

Mentha piperita, grown organically in our garden and dried for product use, peppermint is cooling and soothing for the skin, containing vitamins and minerals to naturally plump skin, promote circulation and reawaken dull complexions along with antibacterial and detoxifying benefits keep the skin barrier balanced. Found in our Herb Garden Lotion, Eucalyptus Mint Soap

Plantago major is a wonderful wild plant that we harvest and utilize for its strong anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. Known to have antihistamine properties, this plant is great for relieving itchiness from bites, stings and rashes. It also deeply soothes skin. Found in our Summer Stick and Wild Mint Lip Balm.

Pomegranate oil is a rich source of a unique polyunsaturated acid, known as punicic acid which has many benefits in skincare. It helps to reduce inflammation, protects the skin against sun damage, helps to improve texture and softness, improve firmness and elasticity, helps to reduce fine lines and repair the skin barrier. Found in our Replenish Eye Serum. 

Produced on our farm, the honey bees that make this raw honey forage on our natural pasture of wildflowers by the Red Deer River. Honey’s natural humectant properties help to deeply moisturize and hydrate the skin, providing many skin benefits. Found in Wildflower Soap and Dandelion & Honey Soap.

Very high in Vitamin C (Three hips contain as much Vitamin C as one orange!). Wild rose hips are wildcrafted on our farm and used for its nourishing skin care benefits. Rose hips have ability to strengthen tissue. Found in our Wild Rose Hip Soap and Rose Hip Lip Balm.
